For more than a quarter of a century and over 15,000 flight hours, aviation taught me lessons that extend far beyond the cockpit. Every successful flight depends on preparation, discipline, teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and the ability to make sound decisions.

Over time, I realized these are the very same qualities that help young people succeed in school, careers, and life.

As an Airline Captain and FAA Gold Seal Instructor, I had the privilege of helping pilots develop the knowledge, judgment, and confidence required to operate safely and professionally. But I also began asking a different question:

“What if we could introduce these same life-changing lessons to students long before they ever entered a cockpit?”

That question became the foundation of Paladin Academy.

I founded Paladin Academy because I believe every student deserves the opportunity to discover their potential, develop confidence in their abilities, and learn how to think, decide, and lead. Aviation provides an extraordinary platform for doing exactly that. It captures the imagination while teaching responsibility, teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, and real-world STEM skills in ways that students genuinely enjoy and remember.

At Paladin Academy, aviation is not the destination — it is the vehicle. Our mission is larger than teaching students about airplanes. We use aviation to inspire curiosity, build character, strengthen academic confidence, and help young people recognize that they are capable of achieving more than they may have ever imagined.
